Nancy Schuster
Executive Director
Nancy Schuster brings a long and successful history of national and international business success to her role as ITNGreaterCincinnati’s first Executive Director. Prior to accepting her position with ITN, Nancy worked for a local healthcare consulting firm managing their India-based outsourced professional services. She established her own medical transcription company in Florida and has since held a variety of positions in the healthcare and manufacturing industries, including accounting, purchasing, production planning, and change management.
Nancy’s for-profit background and business education (Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Montclair State University in New Jersey) give her the skills necessary to make ITNGreaterCincinnati an effective and integral organization in the greater Cincinnati community.
Nancy lives in the Cincinnati area with her husband and two daughters.
Lee Scroggins
Board Chairperson
Lee Scroggins was a principal with Clayton L. Scroggins Associates, a regional medical/dental practice management firm, prior to his retirement in 2008. He is a past president and board member of two national trade organizations and currently serves on the board of Deaconess Hospital and The City Gospel Mission. Lee is a graduate of Hanover College in southeastern Indiana. He and his wife Mae have five children and nine grandchildren. They look forward to becoming ITN member riders.
Kathy Gibboney
Vice Chair of the Board
Kathy Gibboney has recently retired from the Procter & Gamble Company as a senior scientist and technology leader. She spent most of her career in Pharmaceutical R&D at P&G and what is now Sanofi Aventis. She has served on the board of the Deaconess Associations Foundation, The American Chemical Society Local Section Board as well as the Council of the national ACS organization. She has also recently joined the Alumnae Board of Saint Mary's College.
Kathy received BS and MS degrees in Chemistry, from Saint Mary's College and the University of Denver, respectively. She also has an MBA in Finance from Xavier University. She is a native Cincinnatian and looks forward to a fruitful retirement in Cincinnati, including taking a role as a volunteer driver with ITNGreaterCincinnati !
Patrick Ward
Secretary/Treasurer
Pat Ward is the Executive Director of the Deaconess Associations Foundation, sponsor of ITNGreaterCincinnati. Prior to joining Deaconess, he was Vice President of Fifth Third Bank's Charitable Management Services Group. Pat has over 26 years of nonprofit healthcare experience including operation experience in hospitals, end-stage renal disease management, and long-term care management. Pat is excited to be part of the talented team bringing this dignified transportation alternative for seniors and visually impaired adults to Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
Suzanne Burke
Board Member
Suzanne Burke became Chief Executive Officer of the Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio in 2005. Previously, she was Director of the Hamilton County Department of Job and Family Services (HCJFS) and served as the Acting Hamilton County Administrator.
Suzanne began her career in the retirement community industry before moving to Hamilton County government where she worked for 17 years. She held a variety of positions there before becoming leader of HCJFS, the county’s largest department.
She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing with a Minor in Gerontology from Miami University and a Masters in Business Administration from Xavier University. Suzanne has served on the boards of Hamilton County Community Action Agency, Wyoming Youth Services Bureau, and the Leadership Cincinnati Alumni Association. She is currently on the boards of Every Child Succeeds and the Leadership Council of Human Services Executives.
John Mitchell
Board Member
John Mitchell is the Executive Director of the Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI). CABVI is a multi-service blindness and vision rehabilitation agency providing an array of vision rehabilitation services including counseling, low vision assessments and training, computer access training, early childhood services, rehabilitation teaching, radio reading service, and employment support.
Prior to accepting the leadership position at CABVI in December of 2006, John served as their Director of Operations from 1999 to 2006. Before coming to CABVI, John worked for the Clovernook Center for the Blind from 1985 to 1999 in several capacities, including Multistate Center Director, Director of Manufacturing, and Vice President of Industrial Operations.
John has a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Cincinnati (1983) and completed the University of Cincinnati Executive Training Program from UC’s College of Business Administration in 1993.
John is currently on the boards of the national Industries for the Blind (NIB), the National Association for the Employment of People Who Are Blind (NAEPB), the Employers Resource Association (ERA) and the Board of the Alliance of Ohio of Work Centers.
John is a Cincinnati native. He and his wife Kathy have four children and reside in Pleasant Ridge.
